Get Involved
For Farmers and Landowners
Have a conservation project you'd like implemented on your farm? Heartland Conservation Fund (HCF) may be able to help with funding your project. The conservation agronomists (CA) housed at Heartland Co-op are the first step to help you get started. The CAs will manage the implementation of your project as well as provide agronomic guidance and administrative oversight along the way.
Note that to be eligible for funding from the Heartland Conservation Fund you must farm or own land in Iowa. As our fund grows, we are only currently prioritizing
the following practices.

For Sponsors and Donors
Gifts of any size to HCF's endowment will make a lasting impact on conservation in Iowa. Every dollar invested in the fund will directly support farming practices that reduce soil and nutrient loss.
Our initial fundraising goal for the endowment is $1,000,000 after which point, we will begin funding our conservation priority practices. We will increase our contributions to farmers for conservation practices as well as expand funding towards our additional conservation practices once our fund reaches it's principal balance of $10,000,000.
